University of Minnesota: Interdisciplinary Informatics
For Students

In July 2008 the University of Minnesota Board of Regents will consider a proposal for a novel graduate program in interdisciplinary informatics with initial specializations available in systems biology, bioinformatics and computational biology, and health informatics.

If approved by the Regents, this integrative program will offer common admissions and recruiting, core courses, and seminars to all students across the domains, as well as specializations that provide advanced training in each domain.

Pending program approval, applications to the University of Minnesota Interdisciplinary Informatics Program (UMII) will be accepted starting in mid-July for the fall 2008 term. UMII will also offer 20 graduate fellowships each year to seed the development of multiple tracks and specializations across the spectrum of interdisciplinary informatics.
